406mm Automotive CNG Cylinder

The automotive CNG cylinder shown on this page comes with an outer diameter of 406mm and uniform wall thickness of 6.1mm. It is designed with varied lengths to allow changes in cylinder capacity. We can offer 406mm automotive CNG cylinders with minimum capacity of 82L and maximum capacity of 200L. Each type of cylinder offers different length and weight. For instance, our 90L automotive CNG cylinder has a length of 910mm and weight of 76kg, our 110L CNG cylinder has 1075mm length and weighs 89kg, and our 145L compressed natural gas cylinder has a length of 1365mm and weighs 111kg.

Quality of the 406mm Automotive CNG Cylinder
According to Chinese national and international related standards, a gas cylinder requires only ultrasonic testing. However, in our CNG cylinder production and testing process, we found that ultrasonic testing is able to detect and find out the flaws and defects of the cylinder body but cannot detect any flaws at both cylinder ends. Therefore, we use high precision magnetic particle inspection equipment to conduct another inspection of our CNG cylinders, so as to avoid gas cylinders with flaws at the ends which can be caused by improper heat treatment or inconsistence in raw material quality.

Appearance Advantage of the 406mm Automotive CNG Cylinder
Instead of conventional painting methods, we utilize a powder coating method for our gas cylinder. Coated according to international standards, the cylinder surface is provided with improved ductility and malleability and can effectively avoid coating peeling phenomenon, as compared with traditional liquid paint coating. The powder coating also improves the luster of the cylinder surface.

Usage Instruction on the 406mm Automotive CNG Cylinder
The working pressure for our CNG cylinder is the designed gas filling pressure of 15℃ (20Mpa).
